Silk scarf 'Queen Bee', 100% silk women's square neck scarf with hand finished hem
My 'Queen Bee' scarf - I have always loved floral designs, and bringing bees into the design seemed very natural, and of course the central motif had a to have a crown to denote the Queen Bee that is central to the picture and commands the other elements, and not at all be any reference to myself, of course!
I begin the design process for my scarves by painting the individual motives by hand in watercolour, and then scanning these into Illustrator software to replicate across the whole design and add simpler elements such as lines and background colours. The design is then digitally printed on to luxurious silk twill (100% silk), and the hem is hand rolled and stitched.
The scarf is a fairly generous sized neck scarf, measuring 35" x 35" (about 90cm x 90cm). While I make sure that there are no creases before I carefully fold for shipping, some may develop in transit, but these can be ironed out on a warm setting with no steam, or will smooth out with time and use in any case.
All orders are sent in a presentation box as shown in the photos, perfect for a gift or a treat for yourself!
